Suprise in a can

Making Little Mouse a present for her birthday the present is a beading kit I went to Ruby Tuesday and collected pink beads and got some memory wire for the kit. What I needed was something to put it in so I have gone for the present in a tin option.

To do this you need a pull top tin which I have emptied and decorated in pink (Little Mouses favorite colour) I have included some pics as I think its a great way to package up Jewels.

Recipe
Papers Designer Series Paper Patters Stack Brights Collection, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
Inks: Basic Black, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, wild Wisabi
Stamps: Pony Party
Other stuff: Big shot, Timeless Type Alphabet Junior Sizzlits, Scallop Circle Punch, blender pens, extra tack double sided tape, crystal effects.

and thats about the lot enjoy

Cupcake Picks for the kids Punch Art and Stamping

I Volunteered myself to run a class for the kids of Newman over the school holidays its something I think is really important (Giving the kids of the small town something to do in their two weeks off) so the first class we will make a card and then hopefully six cupcake picks I have included some pics not sure which ones I will use yet as I like them all and the puch art is easier for kids but more steps to make so hmmmm.

So enjoy all the great pics and I hope people enjoy the classes I run

Spotlight on Pocket Silhouettes

This is one of the very first sets I ever purchased and I still think it is one very versatile set so I thought I would show off some of what it can do. They are all cards as I don't have the scrap paper at the moment to make a page or two up but they do work well on scrap pages.

The first image is flowers in a pot I love this idea. The pot in chocolate chip is the Tab Punch chopped a little!

Recipe
Ink: Old Olive, Certainly Celery
Card Stock: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Other: Ribbon Certainly Celery, Tab Punch

This card is another punch pot idea where you use an oval punch and then chop the bottom and top off to make the pot.

Recipe
Ink: Old Olive, Certainly Celery
Card Stock: Certainly Celery, perfect plum, Mambo Melon, Whisper White
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Other: Oval Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Stamp-a-majig

This card shows off an simple idea you can use in a scrap page. All you need to do is stamp!

Recipe
Ink: Old Olive, Certainly Celery
Card Stock: Certainly Celery, perfect plum, Mambo Melon, Whisper White
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Other: Oval Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Stamp-a-majig

This card I always use Dotto a temporary adhesive. Its makes a lovely sunset as well.

Finally got onto making some bunting and getting some photos of the end product. This is Stampin' Up! without the paper!! I have also attempted a cover for an electric tea light (improved one on the way) For the bunting you can use ribbon to hold the bunting together or use rope which is more sturdy and what I used.

Recipe
Accessories: Ribbon, fabric, Pennant Bigz xl Die.

With the Pennant you could also make little flags or use it as a quilting appliqué shape.

I actually made this for Louise a recent arrival to the world. I used a few different techniques to get this looking just right. I am as with all things on this blog able to demonstrate how this is made in a workshop.

catterpilar in the Garden but its the grasshoppers that ate my plants!

my son digs bugs and well he gets it from me in my 20's I spent alot of time looking at them under a microscope and well I still dig them and show him stuff all the time. Anyway I did another bug card using punches and two different stamp sets I'm thinking of turning this idea into a class for the kids cos it really easy to do!

Garden Whimsy

Garden Whimsy is one of the stamp sets that I consider a must I think its rather versatile as you can do lots with it as shown in this post. I really really like the snail and always try to put it in. Garden whimsy is particularly suited to stamp writes and using glitter as it is a block stamp and not so suited to water colouring for the exact same reason.
