Eating the Rooster

This is my all time favorite stamp set and yesterday my son went to it with his teeth and allot of determination. He ripped the whole set apart rubber, foam pads and the wood blocks have teeth marks. Overall the result was an unimpressed mum and a smiling baby boy. I stuck it all back together and this is what I produced

Bad week so lets make cards

I had a bad week there are lots of reasons why but basically it comes down to my darling husband being out of town. So to remedy all the crap I decided to make cards. Worked a treat!!

First Cards I made I was trying out the ripped flower technique. I'm not sure if this is how you do it but I had a shot and liked what I did. I have read that the basics are that you rip then wet then shape I forgot to wet! I think that brown card needs more mainly it needs a background stamp on the blue and brown maybe baroque mofits stamp would look nice?

The second Card is again trying the flower but with different colours and using ribbon I think I like the brown flower more but the design of the second I will have to try it. the pink card is sideways and every time I have tried to upload it the right way it ends up like this.

AT HOME WITH WILLS- blog hop

So I used the Good Neighbors Stamp set sold from the Sale-a-bration Catalogs. Unfortunately I don't have any great pic's of our home so I went with AT: Babies first time raising his head HOME: the floor and our babies first Crawling attempt WITH: His musical Prowess and WILLS: just some random pics that we love. The house roofs look great in Glitter (I love glitter). The words were hand written with 2 way glue and glittered up using the glue emboss method which was written in the dodgy capitals to give it an homely feel. all the pages have had a design stamped on the weather it be the houses trees or clouds unfortunatly my ability with the camera is not great.

PROJECT , RECIPE- AT HOME WITH WILLS

Ink- Real Red, Black, Versamark, Mellow Moss, Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink, Only Orange,

Stamp Set(s)- Good Neighbours

Card Stock- Hoppy memories, Whisper White

Accessories: Square Punch, Supernova Glitter, Two Way Glue, Heat Emboss Powder Glue, Heat Gun, Scissors

Hope this was aesthetically pleasing. this is the next blog hop location Karen Dillons blog spot http://www.cardsbeautifulcards.blogspot.com/ . dont forget to comment on each blog to be in the running for blog candy YUM......

Gardeners Woe

My garden is looking really crap at the moment mainly because it is so hot here (North WA will do that to you) so I did this thinking of what my garden will look like one day which is not brown except for the patches that are meant to be ie wood and um rocks....... I thought I had lost the link to where I got this from but I just found it (thanks to Wills and his tantrum)www.funpapercandy.com it is so easy and great and took me all of 1/2 hour after I found my papers (that took around 2 hours).

PROJECT , RECIPE- Gardeners Woe

Ink- Black
Stamp Set(s)- Organic Grace
Card stock- Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, Melow Moss, Raspberry Tart
Accessories- snail, Bone Scorer, border punch, Brad, Scissors
I used the Organic grace dragon fly stamp on the green papers and then cut out around them, I think that stamp makes the best embelishments!!
The brad was used as the door handle but I think some tafeta ribbon would also look lovely as a put tab to get the little drawer open.
BTW the little stand up bit does lie flat which is how you would present it when giving it to someone.

Book that mark baby!

I had a Mate come around for a scrap session and she ended up making a Bookmark, the idea came from my wonderful mother-in-law who found it in Spotlight. My mate made this while I was writing another mates job application (Which I think I'm good at). I would like to make this for one of my workshops and I think it would work as a kids party activity.

PROJECT , RECIPE- Book that Mark Baby

Ink- Black ,

Stamp Set(s)- Priceless
Card stock- Rose Red
Accessories- square punch, double rectangle punch, Chocolate Chip gross grain ribbon, Red Grosgrain ribbon, scissors

What to do

1 Use square punch to punch two square paper tabs in the Rose Red card stock.

2 Cut book mark Ribbon to desired length leaving one end flat and the other with the swallow tail cut.

3 Using tacky double sided tape or good glue, glue the ribbon between the two tabs lining the tabs up so they match.

4 This is the tough bit using the Double Rectangle punch, punch out the wholes in the middle of the tabs I used Scissors to then fix the holes as the punch does not like going through so many layers.

5 Thread a short Piece of ribbon through both holes, cross both ends at the back so the front has the ribbon ends. Trim ribbon ends

4 Rubber stamp little flower on the front

5 Something different you can use satin ribbon and put transfers on the ribbon :-)

Enjoy to your stampin hearts content.

Workshop FUN FUN FUN

This is a workshop we had at PoshBox in Newman, WA. We all had a great time and produced some fantastic stuff. I have included a few pics for every ones delight.

Enjoy
